What We Analyze

Two-Pass Analysis

Every photo runs through two independent passes. The final star rating blends both scores weighted by shoot type.

Pass 1 — Technical

OpenCV

Laplacian blur detection (with face-ROI weighting), histogram exposure analysis, face detection, composition evaluation, and burst duplicate removal. Fast, deterministic, and reliable for clear technical quality signals.

Pass 2 — Moment

Claude Vision

Claude Vision evaluates emotional timing, subject relevance, and contextual quality — what makes a frame feel alive, not just technically correct. This is what keeps the eyes-half-open candid your clients will love while a purely technical tool would have rejected it.

People-focused profiles (wedding, family, events) weight the Moment pass higher. Technical profiles (architecture, product) weight it lower.
